INSECT TRAPS - DON’T GET STUCK WITH THE WRONG
INFORMATION !
Traps in general are not effective for
monitoring Spider mite problems. You will find them useful for
monitoring the other wide array of pest problems that will affect
your Avocado tree. Our Garden Pest Sentry Traps. Traps
make an excellent partner for monitoring the level of your pest
infestation, but by themselves are not effective at controlling pests
such as Loopers, Diamond Back Moth, and need to be combined with the organisms in
this package. With that knowledge you can time your beneficial insect
releases with maximum effectiveness. For flower and vegetable gardens.
For fruit orchards place traps out just after bud break Place our
insects traps out shortly after planting and monitor for pests. Then
release your bio controls. Professional crop managers use traps as
indicators for their bio control programs. Your production goals maybe
lower, but your pest control practices should be just as strong, i.e.
Grow Like A Pro.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR RELEASING MITE PREDATORS
SPIDER MITE VIALS; Predator mites are packaged in loose bran
flake, corn grit or other “media”. Simply place the media into the
release cups or deposit on the leaves of the plant. The predator mites
will move into the foliage of the plant and begin hunting and eating the
pest mites right away.
Please note mites MUST be released within 24 hours
of receipt to prevent mortality.
1) Take enclosed bags and staple or paper clip to lower foliage of the
tree.
2) Gently roll vial and pop off lid, placing lid in one of the bags.
3) Disperse contents of vial into the bags.
4)Lastly place vial itself into the last bag.
5) After mites are released and into the tree you will
still see the corn cob feed they are packed with inside the bags. You may take the bags down the following day.
The Persea mite colonies are living under the tiny spider
webs that they make on the leaves of the tree. The small spider webs are
the white or silver spots on the leaves. The white or silver spots will
turn brown over time. The leaves will then fall to the ground in the late
fall or spring Remember you will need to
make 1 to 3 releases 3 to 4 months apart to get the best results.
