Memorial Day Hybrid Tea Rose,
2004
AARS Winner
The
enormous, long-stemmed flowers hold loads of frilly petals, orchid pink softened
by a gentle wash of lavender, and the rich, damask fragrance engages happy
memories. Hot summer weather encourages every one of the lovely petals to
gradually unfurl. Far and away one our most popular selling roses this year.

Memorial Day is a 2004 AARS
Winner. Upright and bushy, this hybrid tea is so fragrant that just one bloom
will fill an entire room with its damask scent. Memorial Day's color is a clear
pink with a lavender wash. Pointed oval buds spiral open to reveal very large 5
inch ruffled blooms with 50 petals on long low-thorn stems. Disease resistance
is rated very good and the plant especially enjoys hot weather. Memorial Day is
Weeks Roses' hybridizer, Tom Carruth's fifth AARS winner. Parentage is
'Blueberry Hill' and 'New Zealand.'
